  The following day arrives & I ring the receptionist at 9.15am in the morning to be told that "he has stuffed up again" (its obviously a regular occurrence, judging by her manner & the other Google reviews) & she promised that the glass would be delivered that day. 5.00pm again comes & no glass so I ring his mobile to which he answers... winner!! He tells me the glass was delivered at 4.00pm, an hour earlier. I ask him to what address when he tells me the wrong address... not only have they stuffed up the street number but they also stuffed up the street. So my glass is sitting outside someone else's house. After a short conversation he tells me I'm going to need to go & pick it up as he's a few hours away. So not only have they stuffed up the order, several times, they also delivered it to the wrong house, then make me go & pick it up. Unbelievable, could their customer service get any worse? So I drove around to where he delivered it (only a few kms away) & thankfully the puzzled home owner had put the pieces of glass on his bed, hoping someone would arrive to collect them.

  EDITED: He does a lot of apologising for his screw ups hey? The fact that he doesn't seem to learn from these screw ups highlights the fact that the business will unlikely prosper & thus, ultimately fail.

  WE recommended Southern Glass to a property management company to do their glass repair work because we have used them often and found them to be reliable and efficient. The property management company agree. Well done Southern Glass and Glazing.

  Straight after arriving had to leave because he brought the wrong glass even though he was told the window type at time of booking. When time to pay grabbed my credit card and charged $50 more than agreed price without advising first! Claimed it was for the difference in glass types, but should have at least discussed before charging my card! Left glass all over the carpet inside and path outside. Would not recommend or use them again!!

  I only had a small job which entailed Southern Glass supplying me 2 small pieces of glass, cut to specific measurements with the edges arrised (on the belt sander apparently) at a cost of $86.00. I arranged the day before that I would collect them at lunchtime the following day. Arriving at the rundown office/warehouse that Southern Glass operate from, I was told by the friendly receptionist that they hadn’t had time to prepare my order (or they forgot, who knows?), but she kindly offered to have the business owner deliver them to me later that day, probably by 5.00pm. Fair enough, I gave her my details (she wrote them down correctly) & she assured me that they would arrive later that day. 5.15pm comes & no glass, so I ring the business owner's mobile but of course it rings out. So I send him a SMS which is never acknowledged. Neither communication was ever returned.

  We went with this company due to good reviews on the internet. Sadly, we were disappointed. Did not turn up to first appointment and was late for second one with no apology or phone call.  Then left a mess to clean up including broken glass inside and outside.

  On picking up the glass I noticed that the edges hadn't been arrised like I asked at the time of placing the order. I guess after all their other stuff ups, I was wrong to expect that something as simple as getting the edges right would also be done correctly. I just can't be bothered going back to get the edges fixed, it's worth me paying another $80 to Glass Plus just to not have to return to the incompetent business that is Southern Glass.

  Working in the construction industry, from time to time I have dealt with incompetent trades & suppliers who offer poor customer service. However, dealing with Southern Glass this week has eclipsed everything else.
